  • Our retractable screens are customized to fit your opening. We can go as small as four feet wide and up to 24 feet wide. We can go as tall as needed but there will be a noticeable seam for anything more than 10 feet. Call Outback Concepts today for more information about screen size!

  • Our motorized screens pull one amp each. We typically run all cords into the attic so you'll have a clean installation and won't have cords showing. If you already have soffit plugs, those can be used. You'll just see a short amount of cord.

You'll want a plug that is consistently hot. You don't want to plug into an outlet on a switch. Here's an example of what you'll need: two screens require one 110-volt plug, and four screens require a double-gang 110-volt plug.

  • The number on the fabric of screen enclosures is the percentage of UV rays that can be blocked out. A good example is Carbon 95. Carbon is the fabric color and 95 is the UV protection percentage. Our most common options are 90 and 95. If the sun is not an issue, we have No-See-Um and Tuff Screen, which are used for bug protection only.

  • Yes! All remotes for enclosed patios are white. We have one-channel, five-channel, and 16-channel remotes. We also have wall switch remotes. Those come in one-channel and multi-channel options, which can come in black or white.

  • Absolutely! You'll be amazed at what these retractable screens will do. We sit on our patio year-round. We use our fans in the spring and summer to help circulate air and use our propane firepit to warm up in the winter. We offer 97 UV protection screens if you have a west-facing patio that won't let in a breeze on hot summer days. It's also perfect if you are a winter patio person.

  • According to our team, the average cost is about $3,500 per 12 or 13-foot opening. Installation starts at $2,000 for a four-foot opening, and the largest motorized screens are about $6,500 for a 24-foot opening. Fabric thickness also affects the cost, so ask about our tiers.

You'll find that the investment pays off in the end. According to Extra Space Storage, an online storage resource, a well-designed patio can boost your home's value by 8% to 10%. Call Outback Concepts today to learn more about our pricing!

  • These screen enclosures are not made for high winds but will help. They are rated up to 50 mph, but we suggest rolling them up in winds over 40 mph, or if you’re not using them. We say protect your investment and it will last a lifetime!

  • We can typically install three screens per day. Give Outback Concepts a call today to learn more about how long it will take to install your screen enclosures. We can get you started with a free estimate!

  • Our retractable screens are made of fabric material, so they can be cut, but it will take some time and effort. A dog or child can run through them, but it's going to have to be a strong force to damage the screen. We've never had to replace a screen due to a child or person damaging it. In six years, Outback Concepts has only replaced one screen due to an animal, and it was a very large dog.

  • Outdoor Concepts offers a five-year warranty on the motor for retractable screens, a 10-year manufacturer warranty on the fabric, and a lifetime warranty on the framing. It shouldn’t fade, peel, rust, or crack. If one of these elements gets damaged, you only need to replace that part; you do not have to replace the entire unit.

  • We'll begin your service following payment of a 50% deposit.

  • Protection from harsh sunlight, rainstorms, and pesky insects.

  • We've had screens last for 15 years and counting with no issues, and the average life span of a screen is about 10 years. Most of our screens are maintenance-free — however, if there ever is an issue, we'll be glad to repair your screen for you.
